Birthdays on the Beach

 Posted by: Ed   in Fun

Yesterday we had a birthday party for all of the January birthdays! Here’s a quick clip of the party. I wish you could all join me on the warm sand and in the warm water but it’s cool, we can do it another time :)

I was walking back to base along the beach with about 12 others when I realized how natural and normal it felt. Just walking and chatting; kids jumping into the waves occasionally. I’m going to miss this place- I’m going to miss my friends. Sentimental, Yikes! . . . breakfast time, see ya

Neat clip! the cake looked really good too! Ahh, the beach. One of my favorite places, that looked like a nice beach too! Was the water warm?

@Hannah: The water isn’t cold at all. Right after the tide comes in it’s HOT but for the party it was refreshingly cool.

I’ll take a beach in Pemba over the ridiculous amounts of math homework I have been doing lately!! ;) Miss you tons Ed! While I am quite sure you have made a TREMENDOUS and eternal impact on that community in Pemba, THIS community is ready for the return of our last missing Palma! God bless in your last weeks there. Make them count! as I’m sure you are!
